You might have noticed that there are many different sets within the Signature range, often differentiated by a single letter or number. However rather than running though the sets proper, let’s instead focus on what individual alphanumeric digits mean:
– KIT – this denotes it’s a full component set or coaxial set.
– MEDIUM – this denotes it’s a midrange or wideband driver set.
– 20, 25, 50, 100, 165, 200 as the middle number – this denotes the woofer size, in millimetres. Whereas 690 denotes it’s a 6×9″.
– S24, S45, S80, S100 as the end number – this denotes the magnet diameter, in millimetres.
– S300 – this denotes the same 100 mm magnet as the two-way set, but in a three-way set.
– S2, S3 – this denotes two-way or three-way configuration in modern sets.
– N – this denotes a neodymium magnet.
– MG – this denotes a magnesium dome tweeter.
– C – This denotes it’s a coaxial set.
